Different Cultures, Common Ground is a series of customised cultural awareness workshops developed by organisations that engage, employ and provide services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The programs are designed to provide guidelines and strategies for engaging appropriately with Indigenous people and communities. They aim to improve understanding and appreciation of Indigenous culture and provide the tools for establishing meaningful relationships with Indigenous Australians both inside and outside the workplace.

Different Cultures Common Ground workshops are tailored to meet your organisational needs. They are delivered in either two day, one day or information session format, with structure dependant on organisational requirements.
Workshops are facilitated by qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trainers, incorporating a local Indigenous representative from your community or region.
Prior to commencement, TAFE staff will meet your representatives from your organisation to discuss requirements, content and outcomes. All workshops utilise modern teaching practices that encourage participation and group interaction.
Different Cultures Common Ground workshops are facilitated by qualified and experienced Indigenous trainers from a range of different backgrounds and regions. Trainers are also assisted by local Indigenous representatives who provide valuable local knowledge and references on local traditions and protocols.
Workshop facilitators are committed to providing a learning environment that is friendly and relaxing and ensuring all participants develop a long lasting awareness of local Indigenous culture.
