Indigenous spiritual wellbeing
Toolbox: Australian flexible learning
Indigenous Spiritual Wellbeing Toolbox addresses units of competency from Certificate III and Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.
The Indigenous Lead Centre was successful in winning 1 of only 5 grants nationally to develop a new toolbox with funding from the Australian Flexible Learning Framework. Flexible Learning Toolboxes are high quality, cost effective interactive e-learning and assessment resources featuring scenarios, images and activities. They are designed for use by training providers, industry and business and support online delivery of recognised training packages for the vocational education and training sector.
Spiritual well being is the working title for this toolbox. Some of the key features of the resource will include:
an integrated learning program incorporating a number of units of competency. These programs will be available on a CD-ROM for installation on a server or for use on a stand-alone computer, and
a learning object format allowing users to download smaller self-contained components of content. Learning objects generally support an element or unit of competency.
The project is being developed in conjunction with the Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council and leading multimedia firm, Global Vision Media based in Melbourne, and is expected to be finalised late November.
